This is a crochet pattern for Maurice the Monkey, a cute little sitting monkey amigurumi - Part of the Amiani range from Hooked On Patterns, a collection of amigurumi animals.
Written instructions using US terms, includes chart to convert into UK terms. Photographs included throughout.
This pattern can be made with any yarn size. The yarn size you choose will determine the size of your finished monkey. Keep to the same size yarn for each colour. As a guide, using DK yarn with 4mm hook will produce a monkey approximately 8cm tall, I used 6mm safety eyes for this size. Using UK chunky yarn and 5mm hook produced a monkey approximately 12cm tall, I used 14mm safety eyes. The monkey photographed for this pattern has been made using UK Chunky (US Bulky).
You will need: Brown and cream yarn (or any 2 colours) - less than 50g of each used A pair of safety eyes Toy stuffing (polyester fibre filling) A yarn needle and scissors.
