Product Details
The instructions provided in this pattern will enable you to make this lovely hand-knitted lace evening wrap. The pattern is designed for lace weight yarn (s2/28) and uses traditional Shetland Lace motifs. The design is a modified version of a pattern by Carol Rasmussen Noble. The pattern is featured on the cover of “Knits from the North Sea – Lace in the Shetland Tradition” by Carol Rasmussen Noble, Margaret Leask Peterson.
This stole uses a traditional stitch pattern named after one of Queen Victoria’s daughters. Carol finished her stole by adding the Queen’s edge border, my version has the Alice Maud motif from edge to edge and on the bottom and top borders. The finished measurements are 73 cm by 200 cm when blocked and weighs approx. 123 grams.
