I've tried a lot of Christmas stocking patterns, this has become my go-to pattern. I like the fact that the linked trebles produce a firmer fabric, without the gaps between stitches when using regular trebles. I did do a couple of tweaks: I used linked stitches for the hdc and dc in the heel, toe, and cuff, and I eliminated the gap between the rows of stitches by following a tutorial for joining the linked trebles at the ends of the rows. Additionally, I made the cuff longer so it could be folded over - to do this I turned the stocking inside out (so the right side of cuff would show when folded) and then crocheted the cuff to my desired length, turned it back right side out, folded down the cuff and added the hanging loop at the fold. Made using Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton.
