Product Description
The Alder Blanket is a simple to knit baby blanket knitted in an Aran or worsted weight yarn.
The pattern is suitable for a beginning knitter with a little experience, all techniques used are straightforward. The pattern is in written form, no charts are necessary and is easily memorised so once set you can just knit away.
Just as effective in a solid yarn as it is in a variegated or semi-solid one, the possibilities are endless. Any Aran or worsted weight yarn is suitable, a soft yarn suitable for a baby is ideal.
My family cannot get enough blankets for some reason and this one is amongst my favourites.

Good pattern - simple but pretty result, well written. Picture made it look more lacy than it actually is. Used an Aran weight yarn. Dimensions geared to a baby blanket or similar, not an afghan. But could be easily modified.
Great Service
The pattern was accurate, the wool is knitting up well, easy to knit with, The blanket is now half done, very pleased with the results.
Easy, which matters to me as I knit during meetings and sort-of pay attention to both. This blanket is a bit thick, not lacy, so if that is what you want, choose a different pattern. It looks really good in light mint green.
