Akan Cable Lace Cuneate
This lace shawl is triangular in shape, and features a unique and very ornate cable lace panel on one side, which is combined with a very unusual mesh stitch. There are pattern contains two sizes: A larger shawl (which is 45 1/2” across the widest point with a hypotenuse of approximately 74” , and a smaller triangular shawl (with a width of 38 1/2” and a hypotenuse of approximately 62 “. The larger one is the one shown in the pictures.
The stitches are charted only.
Any heavy fingering weight or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern. No crochet hooks needed if you don't want to crochet the optional edging.
