20 to Stitch: Christmas Cross Stitch

I run a group of women and I love shopping at LoveCrafts as they have everything I am looking for at a brilliant price. The ladies are always happy with the goods too.

Michael Powell has always had great patterns and are fun and colorful to make. My daughter has many of his kits and she may have this book

The book was very helpful, explaining the basics of cross stitch. The diagrams were easy to follow, and large enough. The colour keys were a great help, as they enabled you to substitute your own embroidery threads. The designs were ideal for Christmas cards, which is what I bought the book for.

I love the book, though there are a couple of designs I probably won't use. Also it doesn't tell you what threads were used or what count fabric. After realising anchor was used I had to Google a conversion table to find the Dmc colours.

Lovely little book full of Michael Powell's quirky designs. Most are small and quick to stitch. Nice to see some stitched on proper evenweave fabric instead of the ubiquitous Aida, a fabric I personally detest. Good clear charts and large colour pictures of the finished designs.

I thought it was actual Cross stitches instead it is a book.
