This design was originally published on Buttercup Miniatures Blog as the 2009 Advent Calendar.
Materials required to knit the complete cot cover: Size 19 (1 mm/US size 5/0) knitting needles, 1-ply yarn – approx 12 metres/yards of each of six colours (this can also be knitted using scraps of wool you have in your work basket – you will need 1-3 metres of wool for each square depending on the complexity of the pattern), a cable needle is also required for some squares.
Size: Each finished square measures approximately ½-inch/1.25 cm.
Finished size of cot cover is approximately 2-inches (5 cm) by 3-inches (7.5 cm) or with border 2½-inches (6.25 cm) by 3½-inches (8.75 cm)
