How to crochet dragonfly stitch

Chain in multiples of 12 plus 17.

Row 1: Skip 3 chains, and in the 4th chain stitch a double crochet (DC).

Continue to DC until you’ve completed the first row.

Row 2: Chain 2, turn your work. DC in the next two stitches.

Row 2 repeat: *1 DC in each of the next 4 stitches. Ch 1, skip one stitch. 1 DC in each of the next 7 stitches. Ch 1, skip 1 stitch. 1 DC in each of the next 7 stitches.

Repeat row 2 sequence: *1 DC in next 4 stitches, Ch 1 then skipping next stitch. 1 DC in the next 7 stitches until you reach the end of row 1.

Row 3: Chain 2, turn work. 1 DC in next 2 stitches.
