This is the first sweater I've knitted in 40 years. I made every beginner's mistake, took our many rows. But the instructions were fine. I asked for confirmation that the instructions were correct for the buttonhole band and got a very swift, very clear response. All was as written. It was a little tougher than I'd realized (a lot of stitches to pick up, a fair amount of seaming) but I was quite pleased at the end!
