Way out of my comfort zone attempting these toe up,magic loop and after thought heel. But i did like the pattern The pattern is clear and well written. Did find the magic cast on at the toe difficult, finally succeeded with the help of Nimble Needles on u tube. Always generally knit my socks on DPN's but this pattern I found is written for and works best on magic loop. Didn't enjoy it at all at first, but then it just got easier, and was quite enjoying it by the end of the first sock. The after thought heel, again new to me, however in practice found it very easy and would definitely do again. Almost got the socks out of two balls, had to buy a third just to work the heel on the second sock. Started the socks in February and took them with me to work on in Australia, ran out of yarn for the second sock, ordered further yarn to be delivered to the uk on my return in May. Otherwise would have been a quick knit !

I always do magic loop but never done toe-up or afterthought heel? Well done for trying something new!
Great socks Jean, and well done for persevering with the unfamiliar. I’m not a lover of magic loop and so far I’ve avoided the after thought heel. But I really like the look of this pattern, so who knows? 🤔💕

These socks are lovely Jean. I enjoyed your story. I like how you turned your sock making up side down from your usual 🙃 and found a new pattern challenging you to magic loop them and give them afterthought heels sounds so funny 🤣 but looks so good!! Lucky husband 🥰💕
Great socks, well done for taking the challenge. 😍 I can't do magic loop or knitting in the round well, and it prevents me taking on patterns that I might try otherwise.
They look great, it’s always very satisfying when you master new techniques and they are a perfect fit.
They look very cosy and comfy. Always good to learn new techniques. It’s too easy with sock knitting to stick to the tried and tested!
