It's autumn in the Southern hemisphere where I am, and it felt like time to start a new little cross stitch project. I've just finished designing this mini mandala cross stitch pattern, complete with two cute little fairy wrens (who love visiting my garden) and two little toadstools (which also love popping up in our yard!) When I finish stitching, I might finish it as a little pillow. I've made my pattern available at my Etsy shop too and would love to see your creations! It's a few days later, and I have finished stitching this cute little piece. I stitched it on a scrap I had of Zweigart Yorkshire 14 count Aida in Oatmeal, with the called for DMC threads. I decided to finish it in a 3.5 inch hoop. (I used some batting and then hand stitched a piece of felt on the back. I also used a little scrap of ribbon to make a hanging loop and a bow.) I'm really happy with how it turned out, and how enjoyable it was to stitch.
