I’ve always wanted to knit one of these so here goes - It might get ruined on its first wash but I loved making it

@gillian P: same but I never find the ones you do, mind you I never make them either. I have a fine collection!

Thanks Vix - I spend far too much time looking at patterns on Ravelry……..

Oh it’s lovely 🥰 all that work, don’t ruin it ! Get some SOAK wool wash. You just soak the item in it for 15 mins. No rubbing or rinsing 👍

@gillian P: it’s so quick and easy and as you know the garment feels divine when washed in it. Xmas stocking filler 🎅

I may buy some SOAK for my daughter- in - law. It’s what I use but she is a busy working mum who just tosses stuff in the machine - I knit this jacket hoping it wouldn’t need washing too often!

Thanks Michelle, I highly recommend it if you like trying different stuff. There are 16 modular sections and a lot of weaving in ends!

Very interesting pattern. Love the colour mix and the neon green certainly pops. Will definitely check these out on Ravelry. 😍

@gillian P: oops, back and front edges of epaulettes are sewn so that’s 4 short seams to sew. Saying that I picked up stitches and used a 3 needle bind off so didn’t see anything!

It’s mainly modular, only the epaulettes are knitted separately and just one edge of those is sewn- great if like me you dislike sewing up!

Beautifully knitted Gillian - your grandson will love it. I didn't realise there was a kids version of this cardi. I've looked at the adult one before and may dive in at some point in the future. There are so many gorgeous versions of it on Ravelry, so colourful.

Thanks Liz .One day I might be brave enough for the adult version
