His mother normally knits his sweaters for him. Now, because of age she is unable to knit any longer. I volunteered to make this sweater for him. 😊 I felt for him as his mother is now having to take care of his father that has just been diagnosed with cancer, though this is being treated successfully. . . . 🎀 . . . I saw this pattern and as soon as I showed it to his wife she fell in love with it. In fact she has worn the jumper herself at times. 😆 He was’t keen on the stand-up collar but preferred a shawl neck. I needed to adjust the pattern to accommodate his wishes. 😁
