"I made this for an experiment in colour"

This is a work in progress and an experiment with a lighter weight yarn than originally used when designing the Matilda Summer Top. I am always intrigued by the impact the yarn and colours you use changes the look of a design. I am trying the design with rowan Denim Revive, a much lighter DK yarn than Creative Linen. It should be knitted using 3.75mm needles, but I am using 5mm needles as prescribed by the pattern. So far I like how it is shaping up. The gauge seems to be on point and the fabric is lovely and fluid, just right for the summer. What is most striking is how the texture really pops with the use of these three colours as opposed to just a single colour! I am really looking forward to seeing how it looks when it is finished.
