The sheep motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to Fair Isle. The cowls pictured are worked using a lovely soft wool silk mix yarn in DK\/light worsted weight.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe pattern covers sizes from toddler to adult, however the smaller sizes can also be worn by an adult for a snug fit. The instructions are written for both knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back, or in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary.
