The cable and pom-pom could be left out and off to make the hat a little more manly.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe mitts are written for three sizes, small, medium and large or a 6 (7, 8) inch hand circumference at the knuckles. The small size in the mitts could fit an older child for sure. The cable on the mitts is slightly offset toward the thumb side of the mitt.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe cable pattern is super easy and would be a perfect first-time cable pattern for someone new. For experienced knitters, this will be a breeze.
