Winter Cardinals Potholder

I remember looking through bird watching field guides as a young girl living in the Bay Area of California and wondering what a cardinal would actually look and sound like in person. Now that I live in the Midwest, I’m privileged to hear its gorgeous song and witness the brightly bold red colors of its feathers. In winter, the cardinal is especially striking against the pure white of freshly driven snow. That’s why I chose it as a perfect winter decoration for my kitchen in the form of a potholder!
