Winding Stairway Mitts

Winding Stairway Mitts feature a textured stairway starting at the wrist and winding around the palm; beads and twisted ribbing add visual interest. The way the thumb is shaped makes for an extra comfortable fit.

A solid or semi-solid colour is best for this design. The grey sample was worked in Fyberspates Vivacious 4-ply; most other sock yarns or plied fingering-weight yarns will be a perfect alternative.

Skills required: Knitting and purling in the round, casting on and binding off, increases and decreases, working cables over four stitches, applying beads and working Vikkel braids.
