Waverley

Waverley is a double knit children’s sweater with a textured body, stocking stitch sleeves and a cute frill to the hem and cuffs. Each piece is worked flat from the bottom up, then stitches are picked up to create the neckband before the sides and sleeves are seamed.

Skills/stitches required (in addition to basic k, p, increases and decreases) CDD = centred double decrease: slip the next 2 sts together onto the right-hand needle, k1, pass both slipped sts together over the tip of the right-hand needle (it is important that you slip the sts together, not one at a time) kyfk = knit into the next st but keep it on the left-hand needle, bring the yarn forward (as if to purl the next st), and knit the stitch again; slide all three loops to the right-hand needle (increase of 2 sts)
