Product Description
Gorgeous clean lines and a simple structure create a finished baby blanket that will be loved for years. I've included the multiples of the stitch pattern so you can make it larger or smaller, if you wish. Blanket measures approximately: 34” x 32”, BLOCKED. This is a knitting project suitable for beginner level crafters. The blanket demonstrates fundamental knitting techniques that build essential skills for new knitters. A key technique featured in this pattern is reading your work—learning to identify knit and purl stitches by their appearance. The designer provides helpful visual cues: purl stitches appear to have a turtle-neck appearance (hugging the needle), while knit stitches display a v-neck appearance (hanging more loosely).
The reversible quality of this blanket comes from working wrong-side (WS) rows intentionally. When working WS rows, knitters read the previous row backwards and reverse the stitches—converting knits to purls and purls to knits. This technique creates the balanced, two-sided aesthetic that makes the blanket functional from either direction.
