Unchained Melody

Unchained Melody is a shawl pattern designed to showcase two contrasting colourways together. I used two semi-solids for my shawl, but the pattern will also work well with a wildly variegated or speckled colour A, which can be tamed with a solid colour B.

Worked from one tip, while gradually increasing on one edge and decreasing on the the other, you will work the relaxing garter stitch at the same time as the fascinating mosaic pattern. This shaping results in a curved top edge and an amazingly wearable shawl.

The pattern is beginner-friendly, but with stunning results. After a while the knitting becomes quite meditative and you may wish to just keep going...
