This sweet hat is a perfect solution to leftover half-skeins of yarn; just pick two coordinating colors and you’re good to go! The endless possibilities of color combinations make this a versatile accessory that can fit in with all fashion senses, from solid jewel tones for a classic look to self-striping brights for a funky faux fair isle effect.

The rippled, bubbly texture in the fabric is created entirely with slipped stitches, while alternating colors every few rows allows it to emulate a much more complicated colorwork. Plus, the wrong side looks entirely different but equally attractive, which makes for two hats in one.
