This pattern includes both fully written and fully charted instructions, to give greatest choice to the knitter.
This hat is a very fun and enjoyable knit, which though incorporating elements of simple lace and basic cables, combines the two to give a complex look to the finished item. The decreases come together in a decorative finish at the crown of the head.
Instructions are given on how to lengthen or shorten the hat as desired and also given in two sizes. The smaller size (18-19") uses a 4mm needle and DK weight yarn. The larger size (20-22") uses worsted weight yarn and 4.5 mm needles.
