The bag is worked round without turning. It begins by knitting a rectangular base, then stitches are picked up around all four edges and the bag is worked to the top.Mark first st of rnd and move marker up each round.
The yarn used for this design was Classico, by El.D.Mouzakis, a 100% wool yarn which has 112.5m/50gr. and gives a gauge of 18sts/28rows in 10cm.
The bag was knit with 2 strands of yarn held together and the gause is 15 stitches and 22 rows = 10cm in stockinette stitch worked with 2 strands of yarn held together and 17 st & 20 rows in colorwork.
You can substitute it with any DK or Aran yarn 100% wool which is NOT superwash, or else it will not felt.
Cascade 220 would be perfect, or Debbie Bliss Blue Faced Leicester DK and Erika Knight British Blue Wool.
