Suggested gauge is 7 stitches per 2.5 cm measured over Stocking Stitch using 4mm needles or 6 stitches per 2.5 cm using 3.75 mm needles. Please note, however, the gauge is a suggestion only. \u003cem\u003eSome knitters knit tightly and some knit loosely - so you may need to go up or down a needle size according to the yarn type or individual knitting style.\u003c\/em\u003e I like a 'tailored' fit to my socks so I have used 3.75mm needles. I have used 100g of King Cole Galaxy DK, which comes in a range of gorgeous colours, with small sequins spun into the thread for a sparkly effect.
