Product Description
The First Sweater is raglan sweater design which is knitted seamlessly from the top-down. It is designed with a relaxed oversized fit in a boxy style with a slightly cropped length and balloon sleeves and a cozy double-folded neckband. The body of the sweater uses stockinette stitch and the sleeves use Half Fisherman’s Rib.
The First Sweater is designed to be worn with 12.5-17.5cm (5-7in) of positive ease.
The difficulty of this pattern is rated as ‘intermediate’. You will need to be familiar with knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing, german short rows.
The sweater is knitted in two strands of yarn held together - a fingering weight and a lace weight mohair to make a DK weight. The recommended yarns are Filcolana Arwetta Classic (50g = 210m) held with Drops Kid Silk (25g = 210m). One strand of each yarn are used held together.
Recommended amounts: Arwetta: 6 (6) 7 (7) 7 (8) 8 (9) 9 (9) 10 skeins; Kid Silk 6 (7) 7 (7) 7 (8) 8 (9) 10 (10) 10 skeins.
