What Is Being Made

The Aria Top is a versatile, beginner-friendly knitted garment designed by Paulina Ramirez of YNIK DESIGNS. This downloadable PDF pattern offers a contemporary top suitable for a wide range of sizes, from XS to 6XL. The design features customizable options including a longer top variation and bubble stitch detailing, making it adaptable to different style preferences and body types. The garment is constructed using straightforward knitting techniques that make it accessible to crafters new to the medium.

Techniques Used

The Aria Top employs fundamental knitting techniques appropriate for beginner-level crafters. The pattern utilizes basic stitch construction methods combined with strategic increases and shaping to create a well-fitted silhouette. The design incorporates stitch marker placement to help track pattern repeats and maintain consistent shaping throughout the project. The pattern includes options for customization, allowing makers to choose between a standard length or a longer version, as well as the option to add bubble stitch detailing for textural variation.

Stitches Used

The primary stitch used in The Aria Top is the double crochet (DC), which forms the foundation of the garment construction. The pattern also incorporates chain stitches (CH) for creating openwork sections and shaping details. The gauge is established at 13 double crochets by 9 rows in 4 inches, which is essential for achieving proper fit across all size ranges. The pattern instructions reference chain-3 turning chains that count as double crochets within the pattern repeat, and includes staggered chain-skip sequences to create decorative openwork elements.
