The pattern is well written, I did mine with 100% cotton and it turned out well. My only edit was to use rsc for the last round, similar to her other wider brim pattern. I have also done her bucket hat pattern. I highly recommend her designs, going to try the cardigan pattern this fall. The patterns are free on her website but you can never go wrong with purchasing a pattern for less ad noise.
Very easy to use. Directions are simple and everyone loved their hats. I did double the yarn to make the hat a little more stiff and easier to mold.
This pattern was fantastic because you can use a variety of yarns and it was written to be very easy to understand. Item turned out perfectly.
