Product Description
This is the first design in the Celtic Cable Shawls collection.
A top-down triangular shawl inspired by beautiful Celtic knot-work, and worked in hand-dyed fingering weight/4-ply yarn. The intricate edging features twisted rib and eyelets. Two sizes are given, but the size of the shawl can be increased if you have extra yarn (the sample shown in the photographs is in the larger size).
The pattern is both fully written out, and charted - please note that due to the complexity of this design, and the size of the charts, the written version and charted version are provided in two separate PDF files (both are available for you to download when you purchase the pattern).
Also please note that the cables are worked on a background of reverse garter stitch, which makes for a lot of purling. Some of the cables are worked on the WS, so this pattern requires some concentration to complete.

Needles, Tools, and Notions
- Needles: 4.0 mm/US size 6 circular needles (long circulars are recommended for managing the expanding stitch count)
- Additional Tools: Cable needle, 2 stitch markers, darning needle, and pins or wires for blocking

The pattern specifies a gauge of 16.5 stitches and 32 rows over 4 inches (10 cm) in stocking stitch after blocking. Proper gauge is essential for achieving the correct finished measurements.
