Tabby is a cuddly striped kitten with a snuggly cardigan. The cat knitting pattern incorporates knitted stripes and short rows, and the cardigan picking up stitches along an edge. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the toys are knitted in DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.

I knitted the black and white cat which was classed as the easiest one to knit, but I did struggle. The instructions were unclear at times, especially when attaching the pieces and the truffle yarn shed loads of fluff which spread everywhere. It was impossible to unpick if and when I made a mistake as it became matted. It also took four attempts to knit the head to my satisfaction, but I have finally completed it with a great sigh of relief.
