Swirling Maelstrom Shawl

The Swirling Maelstrom Shawl is an asymmetrical triangular shawl, worked at a relaxed gauge for a lacy effect once blocked. Wear it in multiple ways - as a scarf, bandit-style, euro-style, with a shawl pin, or with the narrow end woven through the lace border for an over-sized cowl that stays put.

This pattern works up quickly, using an easy stitch pattern to produce a light and airy finished shawl. Great for a last-minute gift, or a quick and stylish accessory for yourself.

Written instructions and charts are included, along with information on adjusting the width of your shawl. The lace border can be worked in the same yarn as the body, or in a bold contrasting color for a little extra personality.

The small version is designed to use just one ball of Knit Picks Chroma Fingering yarn - including the border. If you choose to work the border in a contrasting yarn, plan on about 10 grams.

The large version uses just under two balls of Chroma, including the border. For a contrasting border, plan on about 18 grams.
