Stratimology is a long, wearable stole pattern designed by Skeinwalker and inspired by geological formations. Design Inspiration and Construction Method

The stole's design draws from the fascinating world of geological folds—arch-shaped formations, dip-shaped structures, chevrons, and natural bends created by the forces that shaped the Earth over millions of years. The pattern construction begins in the center with half-circle shaped modules that connect seamlessly to one another. Length is built outward on each side, with a gentle transition from curves to chevrons that echo the appearance of natural geological folds and sedimentary layers.
