Starfish

Knit a Starfish using only three stitches: knit, a kfb increase, and a k2tog decrease. These combine to make garter stitch diamonds that are sewn together. If you use washable acrylic yarns this could be used as a bath toy, or knit one in glittery yarns to use as a celestial decoration. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the star is knitted in acrylic DK yarn on single pointed needles (not in the round). For beginners and above, other techniques used include seaming in mattress stitch to finish.
