Product Description
I loved the pattern of my Lady of the Rings Shawl so much that I decided I needed to make a mandala-style vest using the same pattern. Any 8 ply (DK) cotton yarn should work with this design, and I used a slightly larger hook than generally recommended to allow good drape. It is a one-size design that should fit up to a 38" (95cm) bust. Using a 10 ply (worsted or aran weight) cotton yarn and appropriately upsized hook will give a larger result. You are certainly encouraged to try it in any other yarn you desire!
I haven't included a front fastening with this pattern, but you can easily add your own, like large buttons that will slip between the lacier stitches, or a shawl pin or similar.
The pattern is in US terminology and has some stitch charts and photo tutorials for the trickier areas. I would recommend this pattern for an intermediate crocheter. Knowledge of foundation single crochet is an advantage, and is used for the armholes.
