Sola Fair Isle Hat for Adults & Kids

Sola Fair Isle hat pattern for adults and kids is a lovely, simple design for practising traditional knitting techniques.

This is easy level knitting pattern; the following skills are required: Cast on, Knit, Purl, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Bind off. All measurements are given in US and metric. Hat is knitted in one piece. Full pattern support is available via message or email.

SIZES: Adult — 55–60 cm / 21”–24” circumference, Kid — 51–54 cm / 20”–21”.

YARN: Any Aran weight yarn. I used five shades of DROPS Nepal:

40 g / 66 yd light beige 0206,

16 g / 27 yd in dark ivy 8921,

10 g / 17 yd moss green 8918,

10 g / 17 yd red clay 8914,

10 g / 17 yd goldenrod 2923.

You may also need 9 stitch markers.

GAUGE: 10 cm × 10 cm / 4” × 4” = 17 sts × 22 rows in stockinette stitch.

NEEDLES: Circular needles 4.5 mm / US 7.
