Small Blocks is a colourful fun blanket for baby.
The centre features small blocks of purl fabric set into a stocking stitch background. Some of these blocks are worked in the main colour and some are worked using intarsia in one of four contrasting colours.
The blanket is mostly worked in one piece, beginning with the bottom garter stitch border. The side borders are picked up and worked once the main blanket piece is finished. The borders are mitred for a neat finish and feature a simple two-colour mosaic section.
The pattern includes detailed instructions on working the simple 5-stitch, 6-row intarsia blocks.

Well I have only just started it, and actually I am tweaking it a little bit to use yarn I already had, but so far it is working out ok. As it says on the pattern itself, probably more suited to someone with "average to intermediate knitting skills". My background colour is a light mushroom and the contrast blocks are different shades of pink.
