Product Description
This is a versatile bag pattern that can be easily adapted to making a felt bag to suit any purpose. You could even add ribbon in as you knit to jazz it up!
I was actually asked how easy it is to knit and felt a bag. Well it is easy and hopefully with this pattern I've included a few useful tips and pointers for anyone just wanting to try.
I've not included a gauge as you will felt your knitted bag down to the size you want. If you are unsure about the amount of shrinkage your yarn will give you then knit a swatch first, measure it, wash it then measure it again. Hopefully you'll end up with around a 25-30% decrease in size. However, if your bag doesn't shrink down as much as you want, once it's been in the washer, I've included a note on what to try next.
I've used a provisional crochet cast-on - there are plenty of YouTube tutorials for that.
The pattern is also listed on Ravelry.com so please have a look for other projects that have been made.
