Finished Measurements 40 (44½, 47, 51½, 58½)”/101.5 (113, 119, 131, 148.5) cm chest circumference. Intended ease: + 4-6”/10-15 cm. Shown in size M (44½”/113 cm) on 40”/101.5 cm chest with 41/2”/11.5 cm of positive ease.
Yarn Approximately 1320 (1515, 1700, 1900, 2090) yds/1207 (1385, 1554, 1737, 1911) m of worsted weight yarn.
Needles Size US 7/4.5 mm: 32”/80 cm circular and set of double-pointed. Size US 8/5 mm: 32”/80 cm circular and set of double-pointed. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
Notions Stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holders, tapestry needle, eight 11/8”/3 cm buttons.
Gauge 18 stitches and 24 rows = 4”/10 cm in charted pattern or k2, p2 rib on size US 8/5 mm needle, after blocking.
Notes: The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece to the underarm, then divided for working the fronts and back separately.
