Seashell Scrubby & Towel Collection by Sapphire C
What Is Being Made
The Seashell Scrubby & Towel Collection is a comprehensive crochet pattern set that includes four distinct projects inspired by ocean-themed seashell designs. This collection features a hanging seashell towel, a hand seashell towel, a small seashell scrubby, and a large seashell scrubby. Each project combines functional kitchen and bath textiles with decorative seashell motifs, making them suitable for both practical use and as charming home décor accents that evoke a coastal aesthetic.
Difficulty Level & Pattern Support
Designed as an advanced beginner to intermediate crochet pattern, this collection is accessible to crafters with some foundational crochet experience. The pattern includes links to tutorial videos created by designer Sapphire C, providing visual guidance to help even beginners successfully complete each project in the collection.
Crochet Techniques & Stitches
While specific stitch names are not detailed in the pattern overview, the seashell-inspired designs suggest the use of classic crochet techniques that create dimensional, textured surfaces. Seashell motifs in crochet typically employ stitches such as shell stitches, fan stitches, or scallop patterns that produce the characteristic curved, layered appearance reminiscent of actual seashells. The variety of projects—from towels to scrubbies—indicates the pattern incorporates different construction methods suited to each item's intended function and structure.
Materials & Yarn Specifications
This pattern is designed to work with worsted weight yarn, a medium-weight yarn that provides good stitch definition and durability for kitchen and bath textiles. Worsted weight yarn is ideal for creating items that need to withstand regular washing and use. The pattern requires standard crochet hooks appropriate for worsted weight yarn, though specific hook sizes are detailed within the downloadable PDF instructions.
