Schwarm

3 skeins of “Ysolda Blend no. 1”, bought last year at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival, with its great stitch definition, seemed perfect to revisit and further develop the feather pattern that has intrigued me ever since designing “Be Confident” cowl. Transferring this very expressive stitch pattern into a flat item with visible beginning and end proved to be a rather interesting endeavor, since it now sported wavy edges. And so “Schwarm” was born, a shawl knit from its tip to the wide part in this feather pattern that now looks like a school of fish moving in unison, with a textured section trailing behind like stirred-up water!

The shawl is fully reversible and can be made in any size, any yarn weight. The thicker the yarn, the bigger the fish!
