Royal Slouch

Using the same cable stitch pattern as the Royal Cowl, this comfy hat has just the right amount of slouch. Or, it’s a perfect toque with the brim rolled up. Choose a bright colour and this hat will bring a smile to your face on a cold day. This pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up. It was designed with one skein of Indigo Moon Worsted Merino but 183 m (or 200 yd) of any worsted weight yarn will work just fine. Pattern includes stitch guide, list of abbreviations, and the stitch pattern is both written and charted. Fits approximate head circumference of 53 - 61 cm. Finished circumference of body of hat at widest point is 46 cm. Finished circumference of brim is 38 cm. Finished length of hat (without pom pom) is 23 cm. Skills required: knitting in the round, increasing, decreasing, cabling with a cable needle, making a pom-pom (optional). Stitches used: k, p, C4F, C4B, M1L, k2tog.
