Product Description

This pattern uses UK crochet terms and is suitable for a confident beginner as it uses basic stitches. By adding chain spaces to chevron stitches, a lacy pattern of eyelets is formed. Besides working the pattern in a single colour or colour blocks, you can also use a speckled, colour changing or gradient yarn to make a stunning blanket. For simplicity, the pattern instructions are written using a single colour, but you can be as adventurous or creative as you want with colour placement. If changing colours, I would suggest changing colours at the end of a row 2 or 4. Just remember to ensure you have enough yardage to complete your colour repeats. This blanket is also great for using up your yarn stash.

I just could not get to grips with the pattern! I think is was partly because of the variegated yarn I was using but nevertheless, the count was wrong on each of the 3 times I re-started from the beginning! Aaargh! I’m now using a much simpler ripple pattern and getting on fine!
