The graphic design found at Praça dos Restauradores in downtown Lisbon is one of the most beautiful patterns of Calçada Portuguesa — the art of Portuguese pavement. I have used it for cushions several times before. Recently, I found a small cushion and some leftover cornflower-blue yarn in my stash, so it seemed natural to combine them once again using this striking pattern. It looks truly impressive, even in the small 50 x 30 cm landscape format. Plus, a small cushion like this is quick to finish if you have mastered two-color Jacquard knitting. If not — well, this cushion is the perfect reason to learn, isn't it?
