The Posy Baby Blanket is an easy knit openwork pattern. No purling until last row.
The sample was knit in a superwash wool sport weight yarn, but would look great in any weight of yarn by adjusting the needle size, to get the desired openness of the pattern.

Note: For a fingering weight yarn, recommend a size US# 6, for DK recommend a US# 8, for Worsted weight recommend a US# 10, and for Bulky weight a US#13.
Gauge in Sport weight: 6.3 sts = 1 inch in pattern stitch Getting exact gauge is difficult with this pattern. The wrapped stitches pull the pattern in, then once washed and blocked/laid flat to dry the stitches open up in both height
