Pompom Hat

This is a very simple pattern for a hat, on two needles with one seam. It is made in stocking stitch with a two by two rib border, shaped at the top by decreasing, and finished with a pompom. The yarn is a soft wool/alpaca mix. It would be an easy project for beginners. The hat can be made longer before the shaping if required, to be more of a slouchy hat. This is part of the Warm Up book, ten knitted home and accessories projects for autumn winter by Sian Brown.
