Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Inverted skillet cakes have long been a feature of worldwide baking, the most famous example being the French Tarte Tatin. But it was in the 1920’s, after World War I, that exotic tinned pineapple became widely available in America and the upside-down cake became a favourite pudding!

Finished size: 7cm x 7cm x 5cm.

Materials: Paintbox Yarns Simply DK, 5g Mustard Yellow, 3g Pillar Red, 10g Soft Fudge; crochet hook size 3.5mm; stuffing; tapestry needle for sewing in ends; scissors.
