Gauge: 8 stitches = 2 inches.

Size:9 by 9 inches

Stitches Used: Knit (K), Purl (P), Knit 2 together (K2tog), Through back loop (tbl), lateral braid st. Place marker (pm), slip marker (sm),

Special stitches:

Lateral braid: K the second st on the left needle through the back loop, leave the st on the left needle, k the first st on the left needle through the front loop, pull both stitches off the left needle to the right needle. Sl 1 st from the right needle back to the left needle. Repeat the steps, until you have your desired amount of stitches.
