Product Description
The Penrose staircase is a so-called “impossible figure” discovered by the British mathematician Lionel Penrose.
The socks are knitted from bottom up, with gusset and heel flap. They start with a clever cast-on. The bind-off forms an elastic edge.
To show best the staircase pattern, I recommend a light, solid yarn.
SKILL LEVELknit and purl, increases and decreases, special techniques will be explained (by video)
The pattern comes in written and charted instructions.
PATTERN NOTES
Sizing
If you are in-between sizes, go for the smaller size. Due to the textured pattern, the socks are very stretchy.
