Product Description
Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky is a 100% acrylic chunky, made for the projects you want finished this week: blankets, scarves, hats and easy jumpers. Paintbox Yarns is our own brand, designed in house.
On 6.00mm needles the fabric builds up quickly without going stiff, so larger projects like blankets and jumpers work up in a fraction of the time a DK would take. It crochets up well, with good stitch definition, and does not split in use. It stays soft after washing, and being acrylic it takes a machine wash and a low tumble dry, which matters for the blankets and kids' knits that actually get used.
Ideal for colourful stripes, granny squares, chunky colourwork and quick gifts. The shades are developed as a coordinated palette rather than one-offs, so colours can be planned across a project and matched with confidence. The yarn is OEKO-TEX certified.
Specifications: 100g balls, 136m (149yds). Tension 14 stitches and 20 rows to 10cm on 6.00mm (US 10) needles; 6.00mm (J) crochet hook. Machine wash at 30°C, tumble dry on low, cool iron, do not bleach. Made in Turkey.

Used this to substitute for Stylecraft yarn (color not available. It is tinner but worked ok with the project I was making. Might not work with other chunky weight projects. Overall, really nice yarn!

Short change
I have knitted the item I ordered the wool for several times but this time I ran out of wool. One of the 100g balls must have been short because this has never happened before I always have enough with some leftovers

I've ordered Simply Chunky And also the DK in Paintbox Yarn , I love this yarn it's so nice and soft, perfect for baby's projects, I've made Baby's Blankets , hats and booties, I love there range of colours. I crochet an find this easy to work with , it keeps it shape and doesn't split as some yarns do, I'm very happy with Paintbox yarns and continue to order more, the delivery is always quick and here within 3 days,, So for me this is a 10/10
I knit blankets for world orphans and I have used this product for 4 years and I have never been tempted to buy cheaper brands. Last year I sent 50 blankets to underpriveledged children and this year so far I have knitted 30. This is a fantastic product reasonable priced. When there is aa sale I stock up.
