It was felted after knitting. It is an \u003cstrong\u003eeasy\u003c\/strong\u003e project, with some intarsia color work.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFelting is easy, just put the knitted piece in your washing machine. The rug will shrink considerably, this is what the pattern is based upon. The knitted piece before felting is quite large (100 sts over 250 rows).
